Uruguay Coach Oscar Washington Tabarez thinks “anything could happen” in the Confederations Cup clash with Italy.
On Sunday these teams go head-to-head in Salvador for third place in the tournament. It kicks off at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT, 13.00 local time).
“We are facing a strong side that is very organised, but at this stage of the competition we are all tired and anything could happen,” said Tabarez in his Press conference.
“We want to do well right to the end and will give our all to conclude this tournament in the best possible way.”
Italy have a record of two wins, three draws and three defeats against Uruguay, most recently a 1-0 friendly loss in Rome in 2011.
There are several members of the Uruguay squad who play in Serie A, including Napoli’s Edinson Cavani, Martin Caceres of Juventus, Palermo forward Abel Hernandez, Inter’s Walter Gargano and Alvaro Pereira.
