Antonio Cassano is set to join Parma on a permanent transfer in exchange for Inter’s co-ownership of Ishak Belfodil.
This is a change of plan from the earlier agreement, as Matias Silvestre is still refusing to accept the Stadio Tardini destination.
Originally Cassano and Silvestre were going to Parma on loan with options to buy plus €10m for Inter to sign French-Algerian forward Belfodil.
It’s widely reported that later today the clubs will officialise Cassano joining Parma on a permanent basis in exchange for half of Belfodil’s ownership.
Belfodil is set to sign a five-year contract with Inter worth an initial €0.8m plus performance-related bonuses, rising with each season.
Cassano’s contract is expected to be for three years with bonuses that include an extra payment if he is called up for the 2014 World Cup squad.
