Adem Ljajic’s lawyer admits “Milan enquired after him. If they reach a deal with Fiorentina, we’ll begin talks over personal terms.”
The 21-year-old’s contract expires in June 2014 and renegotiations have been difficult, so a summer departure is likely.
“We know of Milan’s interest, but the Rossoneri have not contacted Adem or his representatives. They enquired after him directly to Fiorentina,” lawyer Alex Vaiata told MilanNews.it.
“The two clubs will discuss the matter and, if they reach a deal with Fiorentina, then it is up to us to talk personal terms.
“I wouldn’t say a split from Fiorentina is inevitable. So far we haven’t been called up, so there are no negotiations, but just because Ljajic is not in Florence right now.
“When he returns, we’ll be able to talk things over with Fiorentina and see if there is a chance of a renewal. This depends on what the club wants, because if they have decided to sell him to Milan, then it’s not a problem. We’ll take anything into consideration.”
