Edy Reja is considering the reintegration of Mauro Zarate after growing frustrated with the player earlier this season.
Zarate has often been criticised for his selfish style of play and is now a peripheral figure at the club despite his high profile.
However, La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that Reja is thinking about giving the Argentine another chance against Palermo this weekend.
Reja apparently told Zarate: "If you train professionally, you will get your chance on Sunday."
The intention is apparently that of playing Zarate on the left-hand side of Lazio's 4-2-3-1.
If he fails this test, it's likely that Lazio will attempt to capitalise on the interest Sevilla and Manchester City have shown in the player at the end of the season.
