Javier Zanetti has revealed that his recovery from Achilles surgery is going well, and cannot wait to return to action.
The veteran defender snapped his tendon last season, and is expected to be out until January 2014.
But the 39-year-old has insisted he never thought about retiring following the injury.
“The injury has made me want to return even more,” he told TYCSports. “I hope to recover in the best way possible and come back soon.
“It's what I want more than anything.
“One day I would like to have a role at Inter as Coach.”
