Massimo Moratti reveals Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho told him “we’ll meet again at Inter in three years.”
The Special One wrote history by winning the Treble in 2010 and has always said the Nerazzurri remain in his heart.
“I called Mourinho to wish him the best for his return to Chelsea,” Inter President Moratti told La Stampa.
“What did Jose say? He said we’ll meet again at Inter in three years.”
It would not be Mou’s first return to a former club, as this summer he came back to Chelsea six years after his departure.
The timing of the suggestion is curious, as Mourinho signed a four-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
Moratti also commented on the negotiations with Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir, amid reports the buy-out will include a provision to bring PSG chief Leonardo in as general manager.
“I am working on the future of the club by seeking partners who can allow Inter to make that step up. I dream of a stadium just for Inter and that is an objective I won’t abandon.”
