Hernan Crespo is on fine form despite his age. “It's because at Parma I feel loved and have the chance to play.”
The veteran hitman has played for the likes of Milan, Inter and Chelsea, but chose to see out his career by returning to his first Serie A club.
The Stadio Tardini air suits him, as the 35-year-old has scored nine goals so far this season, his best tally since 2006-07.
“It's because I feel loved and have the chance to play,” he told Radio Monte Carlo.
“After I hang up my boots, I'm not sure if I will be a Coach or even a director at Parma. For now I really enjoy being a football player, but never say never.
“Things have gone well so far on a personal level. Obviously for the team it is a little more complicated considering our position in the table, but we really want to fight and secure safety.”
Crespo was brought to Parma in 1996 by then-Coach Carlo Ancelotti, leaving in 2000 for spells at Lazio, Inter, Chelsea, Milan and Genoa before returning to the Tardini in January 2010.
