Fredy Guarin is encouraged by the progress being made by Inter following the appointment of Walter Mazzarri.
The latter was named as the new Inter Coach after he left Napoli and the Beneamata dismissed Andrea Stramaccioni in June.
“Mazzarri’s mentality, the power he brings to every training session and the desire he conveys has surprised me,” the Colombian noted.
“There's still a long way to go until the start of the season, but we've been training well. And we are not yet thinking about how the season will end.
“We just have to take things one game at a time and see what happens.
“It's still early days and I hope to get to grips with exactly what the Coach wants and put that into practice.
“However, I like the position I'm playing in, but I always try to understand what the team needs most.”
The former Porto midfielder scored the opening goal in the San Siro outfit’s 3-1 friendly win over Vicenza on Monday.
