Marco Borriello and Mattia Destro are left out of Roma’s US tour , fuelling reports of an exit for the senior striker.
The news comes on the same day as Italian papers suggest a deal is close to sign Gervinho from Arsenal for €8m .
Borriello returned to Roma this summer after a loan spell at Genoa, who were unable to agree terms for a permanent move.
It is reported that negotiations could resume for an exchange between Borriello and Genoa-owned Alberto Gilardino.
There are also suggestions of interest from Malaga, though Borriello has reportedly turned down a move to Tottenham.
As for Destro, he joined the Giallorossi from Siena last summer, but struggled to make an impact amid injuries.
The 22-year-old scored six goals in 21 Serie A games last season, but is out injured again until September.
