Chievo Coach Giuseppe Sannino reveals the excitement of today’s friendly with Cardiff City has him “feeling like a kid.”
The tactician took over this summer and will lead his men out at the Cardiff City Stadium at 15.00 UK time.
“This is the first time I’ve been before a friendly feeling like a kid again,” smiled Sannino.
“I care a great deal about this game. I’ve never had the honour of playing in Wales, so I hope the players feel the same motivation that I do. Let’s not forget Cardiff City won the League last season, even if Wales is best known for its rugby.
“This will be a test that can tell us how much work we still have to do. We’re still making mistakes that help us understand where we need to improve.
“So far the training sessions have shown me a group of extraordinarily hard-working lads, but we can improve a great deal in terms of quality.
“I think this match comes at the right time, because Cardiff will put us under pressure.”
