Patrick Vieira is being lined up as the future Coach of Inter, according to the Sunday People.
It is an unusual report emanating from England, particularly as Walter Mazzarri has only just signed a two-year contract.
Nonetheless, the newspaper claims former Milan, Inter and Juventus midfielder Vieira will return to Serie A in a different role.
The Frenchman has been working as the manager of Manchester City’s Reserves squad.
Vieira was at Inter from 2006 to 2010, having left Juventus in the wake of the Calciopoli scandal.
