Diego Milito is no closer to making his return for Inter leading to fresh doubts that he will be available for next week's trip to Bayern Munich.
The 31-year-old striker has suffered a repeat of the same muscle injury in his left leg and Inter's doctors aren't prepared to risk anything.
Milito has been training with the ball of late at a good level of intensity, but scans taken on Wednesday haven't allayed concerns about his fitness.
The Argentina international has been out for over a month and it's thought that a more likely date for his return is for the derby in April.
Meanwhile, Esteban Cambiasso could be back for the match against Bayern. Scans on his adductor muscle were encouraging and he will accelerate his fitness training.
