Giampaolo Pazzini hit back at Sampdoria chief Riccardo Garrone's claims he wanted to leave. “The President knows that's not true.”
The forward completed his January transfer to Inter and Garrone stated this week “only a crazy person would keep hold of a player who wanted to leave.”
However, Pazzini suggested there was a very different version of events.
“The President knows that's not true,” he told the Corriere della Sera.
“The people of Genoa know it too, which is why they applauded me several weeks ago when I returned to the city wearing the Inter shirt.
“I have an excellent memory of my experience at Sampdoria and I was happy there. I didn't ask to leave, I was sold and he knows it.”
