Sampdoria goalkeeper Sergio Romero’s agent has confirmed “we are working on” a move to Monaco.
The Argentine shot-stopper stuttered in his debut Serie A season, conceding 39 goals in 32 games and receiving a red card.
His agent Mino Raiola spoke to Telenord today and was asked if there was news on the potential switch to French club Monaco.
“We are working on it. I cannot say anything right now, because the operation has not yet been brought to its conclusion.
“Certainly there will be some news before Friday.”
It is already reported that Sampdoria are looking at Palermo goalkeepers Stefano Sorrentino and Emiliano Viviano to take over. Siena's Gianluca Pegolo is another option.
