Fiorentina playmaker David Pizarro is set for tests after picking up an injury on international duty with his country.
The midfielder suffered a muscle problem in Chile’s 6-0 win over Iraq which has put him in doubt for the Europa League game against Grasshopper next week.
“I shouldn’t have played,” the former Roma and Manchester City player, who came on as a 69th minute replacement for Arturo Vidal, noted.
“I wasn’t totally fit, but I wanted to feature and asked the Coach to use me.
“I’ve picked up a muscle strain and I now fear a tear. I really hope that is not the case seeing as the official games for Fiorentina are on the horizon.”
