Luis Muriel concedes that staying at Udinese for at least one more season will serve him well in the future.
The Colombian international has been linked with some of Europe’s biggest clubs, but he is going nowhere during this transfer session.
“The Pozzo family have always supported me and they want to keep me in Udine for another season, that is what they have told me,” the forward, 22, told El Deportivo.
“I want to grow as a player in this campaign so that I’ll be able to go on and subsequently join a bigger club.”
Udinese signed the South American in 2010 from Deportivo Cali before was sent out on loan to Granada and Lecce.
He returned to the Bianconeri last summer and scored 11 goals in 22 League games during a campaign where he was restricted by injury.
