Cagliari have confirmed their interest in Juventus youngster Stefano Beltrame. “We’ll see what happens next week.”
The Turin youth team product is expected to be sent to a smaller club before the window closes to gain experience.
A move to Serie B was being touted, but top-flight outfit Cagliari are thought to be close to netting the 20-year-old forward.
“Our interest in him is concrete,” Rossoblu sporting director Nicola Salerno told Sport Italia. “He could be an interesting player for us.
“We will evaluate everything next week.”
Beltrame is an Italian youth international given that he has represented the Azzurri at Under-18, U-19 and U-20 level.
He made his Serie A debut last season in Juventus’ home draw against Genoa in January 2013.
