The agent of Galatasaray’s Burak Yilmaz has confirmed Italian outfit Lazio have made an offer for his services.
The Turkish striker is wanted in the capital as an alternative to Miroslav Klose who is thought to be in his last season with the Biancocelesti.
“Lazio are the only side in the running to sign him,” representative Ali Egesel told the Corriere dello Sport.
“They have made an important offer for him, but it has not been accepted for now because Galatasaray don’t want to lose him.”
Egesel went on to dismiss suggestions that Premiership giants Chelsea are also interested in the 28-year-old.
The Turkish international only joined his current club a year ago after leaving Trabzonspor.
It is thought Lazio have offered around €10m for him. Apparently that is €5m below the asking price for the centre-forward.
