Manolo Gabbiadini will not have any split loyalties when Sampdoria entertain Juventus in Serie A on Saturday.
The striker is co-owned by both clubs after the Old Lady initially signed him outright in the summer from Atalanta, before selling 50 per cent of his contract and this season’s sporting rights to Doria.
“It will just be a game like any other,” the Italian Under-21 international told the Corriere dello Sport. “Will I celebrate if I score? Let us first see if I manage to find the net…
“The Juventus defence is very strong, they are all Italian internationals. However, they can also make mistakes and we have to be ready to pounce on them.”
Gabbiadini has impressed in pre-season so far and he admits he has been surprised by how quickly he has settled in Genoa.
“I really wanted to start the season well, but I didn’t think I would be feeling so good already. I have to thank my teammates who are giving me a helping hand.”
Gabbiadini spent last season on loan at Bologna where he scored six goals in 30 games.
