Samuel Eto’o’s future is up in the air, with conflicting reports circulating that he could join either Chelsea or Inter.
Sky Sport Italia have claimed that the Cameroon international has been offered a two-year deal at San Siro worth between €4-5m per season.
The striker is said to be keen on the idea of a return to the Nerazzurri after the financial backing at current club Anzhi disappeared.
However, Sky Sports in Britain have reported that Wayne Rooney – another Chelsea target – will not submit a formal transfer request at Manchester United, leaving the door open for them to negotiate with Eto’o.
The 32-year-old has already admitted this summer that he would be open to working with Jose Mourinho again.
