Roma defender Juan believes that Sunday's hard-fought victory over Lazio in the derby is a "watershed moment" in the team's season.
Francesco Totti scored twice in a hot-tempered affair, which ended with Lazio down to nine men.
There were complaints after the game that goalkeeper Fernando Muslera had been unsighted by a laser for one of the goals.
Roma's 2-0 win, their third in four League games under Vincenzo Montella, means that the team is now four points adrift of the final Champions League place.
"This derby must be a watershed for us," Juan said.
"We won and are back on course to qualify for the Champions League."
