Chievo have officially taken Marcelo Estigarribia on loan, while Livorno signed Marco Biagianti from Catania.
Paraguay international Estigarribia first arrived in Italian football with Juventus, but they did not take up their option on the winger.
He spent last season on loan at Samp, scoring two goals in 34 games, and turns 26 next month.
Estigarribia will now join Chievo on loan with option to buy from Deportivo Maldonado.
Elsewhere, Livorno have officially signed 29-year-old midfielder Biagianti from Catania in a permanent move.
This switch ends Biagianti’s nearly seven-year spell in Sicily.
