Fiorentina have reportedly made an offer for Atalanta goalkeeper Andrea Consigli.
Although the club and Coach Vincenzo Montella publicly backed current shot-stopper Neto, question marks remain over his status as first choice.
According to L’Eco di Bergamo newspaper, the Viola have approached Atalanta for 26-year-old Consigli.
The proposal is cash plus Egyptian defender Ahmed Hegazy and Polish midfielder Rafal Wolski.
However, sources in Bergamo suggest Atalanta have no intention of parting with the goalkeeper who grew up in their youth academy.
The Viola’s other alternative remains QPR man Julio Cesar.
