The Slovenian centre-back was heavily linked with a move to Stadio San Paolo over the summer, but the player himself has claimed that was not the case.
“I am happy in Liverpool,” he told SITA. “There has been no contact from any other clubs.
“I never considered a move away.”
Radio Kiss Kiss meanwhile. have confirmed that they turned down the chance to sign free agent Mohammed Sissoko
The former Juventus and Fiorentina man was released from his contract at Paris Saint-Germain over the summer, and according to the station was offered to the Partenopei.

Although a useful addition, the 28-year-old was not deemed fit enough by the Stadio San Paolo faithful.
