Sampdoria legend Roberto Mancini says he likes the look of the Marassi outfit this season.
Speaking to Il Secolo XIX, the former Manchester City and Inter boss is an admirer of a number of individuals in the present side.
“Today Nenad Krsticic has my No 10 shirt,” Mancini, a man who spent 15 years with Doria as a player, commented.
“He’s a good player, a youngster who has character. I hope that he becomes a flag bearer for Sampdoria,” he continued.
“I also like Pedro Obiang and Angelo Palombo, as well as Manolo Gabbiadini. The latter has really impressed me.
“He reminds me of Attilio Lombardo in his movement, while he has Gianluca Vialli’s eye for goal.”
Gabbiadini, included in the latest Italy squad, is a young striker who is co-owned with Juventus.
