Alberto Cavasin lost his Sampdoria debut, but wants his men to “fight tooth and nail” in a relegation scrap with Parma.
The Coach was drafted in last week after Domenico Di Carlo's dismissal and fell to a 1-0 defeat against Catania on his first game in charge.
“There are seven teams involved in the relegation battle and they are all crammed together,” said Cavasin.
“I think the final verdict will only be delivered after the last game of the season.”
The Blucerchiati finished four last term, but are now sixth from bottom and only three points clear of the relegation zone.
“We are ready for anything and will fight tooth and nail to the very end. I am not interested in the table or the fixture list. We just have to focus on getting as many points as possible.”
There has been controversy recently with Parma complaining they were penalised by referees, so do Samp fear the officials will try to balance things out in the next game?
“I am not worried. I say that Parma's complaints prove they're in even more trouble than might appear.
“We have faith in the referees and trust they won't be influenced by such tactics. Those who raise their voice expect to be repaid. If we all start talking about the errors against us, then football will stop being a sport on the pitch.”
