Andrea Petagna joined Sampdoria on loan from Milan, but has learned so much from Giampaolo Pazzini and Mario Balotelli.
The 18-year-old striker replied to fan questions in a livechat and is excited about this new experience.
“I am here to do the best I possibly can. My idol is Balotelli, even if Pazzini is certainly the player I most model myself after,” said Petagna.
“Pazzo told me about Sampdoria, that they have great fans and a wonderful club. I settled in quickly, though I am still looking for a house. I’ve found a new family here.”
Next weekend it’s Genoa against Sampdoria at Marassi and Petagna is looking forward to the Derby della Lanterna.
“Many people have already asked me about the Genoa Derby and I can only say I’ll do all I can. I’m already fired up and hope to score, why not?
“I chose the shirt number 37 because it’s mine and I’ll never let it go.”
