Contract talks between Napoli and Juan Camilo Zuniga are continuing, according to Il Mattino.
The Colombian remained at the Stadio San Paolo over the summer despite the fact that he could leave the club on a Bosman next June.
But the Azzurri are trying to get the Juventus and Barcelona target to accept an improved agreement in Naples.
Zuniga is apparently willing to consider a salary offer of around €2.4m a campaign – that is €1.6m more than he currently earns.
Only three players – Gonzalo Higuain, Marek Hamsik and Jose Callejon – presently earn more than that with the Serie A side.
Meanwhile, the player’s agent is apparently pushing for the proposed new deal to include a €25m rescission clause.
