Amauri’s agent has apologised on behalf of the Parma striker after he was sent off against Atalanta on Wednesday.
The forward was given a straight red card for complaining too aggressively towards the referee in their 4-3 win over the Gialloblu.
“If someone was sent off every time they said something at the referee then we would not end with many men on the field,” he told parmalive.com.
“This incident is behind us now though.
“He was very sorry because now he will face suspension for the next match and cannot help the team.”
Parma face Fiorentina on Monday evening.
