Reports suggest Roberto Mancini is close to accepting the Galatasaray job, just days before they face Juventus.
The Turkish club sacked Fatih Terim this week due to a contract dispute and a poor start to the campaign.
Former Manchester City and Inter boss Mancini was immediately suggested as the favourite to take over.
It was widely reported Galatasaray sent emissaries to Rome for negotiations and, after an initial rejection, Sport Mediaset claim they are closer to a deal.
Time is short for the Istanbul side, as Galatasaray play against Juventus in the Champions League next Wednesday.
