Christian Abbiati made Milan history on Saturday evening in the 1-0 win over Sampdoria at San Siro.
In starting against the port outfit, the Italian became the club’s most capped goalkeeper by moving ahead of Sebastiano Rossi – his former teammate with the Diavolo.
Abbiati, 36, was handed a new one-year contract during the summer. He joined the club from Monza in 1998.
During his career with the Rossoneri, he has spent time out on loan at Juventus, Torino and Atletico Madrid.
