Alessandro Matri will celebrate against former club Juventus if he does finally ripple the net for Milan on Sunday.
The striker returned to the Diavolo in the summer after an €11m transfer fee was agreed between the two giants.
“I think I would celebrate,” he told the Gazzetta dello Sport. “I don’t think that would be a sign of disrespect.
“Scoring means celebrating for me. I did so against Cagliari so I don’t see why I should not against Juventus.
“I have a good relationship with many of the Juventus players, a few have sent me text messages encouraging me because I’m struggling to score.
“Even if they all end the same way – don’t score against us…”
Matri won two Scudetti with the Old Lady, but he did struggle to break into the first team plans of boss Antonio Conte.
“When a club tells you that they will consider any eventual offers for you then it means you are not a first choice and they are not counting on you,” added the forward.
“Juventus made investments and they needed money. I left instead of Fabio Quagliarella as I received an offer first.”
Matri has failed to score in seven appearances for the Rossoneri.
