Alberto Cavasin hopes to get a first Sampdoria victory under his belt, especially in the relegation dogfight against Parma.
The new Coach made his debut with a defeat to Catania, a result that plunged them into the battle to avoid Serie B.
“I am working a great deal on the concept of a team unit and fighting to defend the Blucerchiati colours,” said Cavasin.
“This is the most important thing, quite aside from the technique and type of football. In order to beat Parma, especially in games like this, you need to have the right approach and spirit.
“To avoid relegation we need to fight tooth and nail, all stick together and defend our Serie A status.
“The fans want to see 11 lions on the field, as they always manage to cheer us on, above all in the difficult moments. History teaches us the Sampdoria supporters are our 12th man and deserve a team that fights on their behalf.”
