Gigi Del Neri insists he does “not regret” dropping Alessandro Del Piero during the Juventus crisis.
The Bianconeri picked up one point from four rounds, but finally got a victory over Brescia thanks to their captain's goal.
“We worked well and didn't allow Brescia anything today, aside from a cross for their goal that saw us get distracted,” said the Coach.
“Del Piero is in good shape now, but I do not regret leaving him out for five games, because he participated anyway.”
‘Alex' was only brought back into the side to partner Alessandro Matri when Luca Toni and Vincenzo Iaquinta were injured.
“Del Piero is a symbol of Juventus, but he is playing above all because he's in good form. A while back he was struggling but now he can do things like score that goal.
“Now there is the break for international duty and we'll try to recover some injured players, but I can't say how many will be back by then.
“Clearly the team has been affected by all the injuries, especially since January.”
