Francesco Guidolin laughed off talk of Udinese challenging for the Scudetto. “We've got to keep an eye in front and one behind.”
The Friulani are unbeaten in 2011 and soared to joint third place, awaiting Napoli's game this evening, after seeing off Catania 2-0.
“We are happy, as we made another step forward in a difficult game, made tricky for us by Catania's efforts,” said the Coach.
“We want to fight for our objective, which is Europe, and are satisfied at keeping our distance from Juventus and Palermo. This was a deserved victory.”
When asked if Udinese could realistically get into the Scudetto race during the final weeks, Guidolin was surprised.
“Milan are beyond our reach. All we have to do is keep running hard the way we are now and not worry about other matters. We've got to keep an eye in front and one behind.”
This week the tactician saw his contract extended to June 2015, albeit with the same pay structure.
“I have always loved this club and the renewal is wonderful, but if it arrived then it is thanks to the players who are giving their all at a high level.”
