Jeremy Menez has warned he could walk away after being shelved by Vincenzo Montella. “Roma will regret their decisions.”
The French international spoke to L'Equipe after finding himself benched regularly under the new Coach.
“Since Montella took over, I haven't been playing as much,” said Menez.
“I do not understand the tactician's decisions, but I must accept them. I won't deny it is a surprise that I end up on the bench so regularly.
“We had the opportunity to talk, but his words did not seem sincere. He said there were some things the team could no longer do and we couldn't play with three forwards any more.”
He has been linked with Manchester United and left the door wide open for a move away from the Olimpico.
“My departure is possible. There are three and a half months left and then we'll see. I have been playing here for three years, but in order to do well I have to feel people have confidence in me and that I'm important for the club.
“I haven't been given anywhere near as much help as others here. I want them to understand that Roma will regret their decisions down the line.”
