Sampdoria defender Daniele Gastaldello has admitted that the start of the season has been a ‘difficult’ one for the club.
The Bluerchiati are currently 18th in the table having not won a game all season, and the 30-year-old has conceded that it has been a tough time.
“The start of the season was a bad one for me and the team,” he told Il Secolo XIX. “I did not expect such a long period without a win.
“You have to take into account the difficult fixtures we’ve had, but I think we deserved something more from the first games.
“If I was a fan I would be angry about where the team is in the table. But I speak as a player and I have to say that we’ve been working really hard.
“The dressing room is united but the atmosphere is not nice when you haven’t won.”
