Alessandro Matri will ripple the net with consistency at Milan once his goal drought ends, says Cristian Brocchi.
Brocchi, a youth team boss with the Rossoneri, is a good friend of the striker who joined for €11m from Juventus in the summer.
“Matri is trying to settle into a new formation and in a different environment,” the former midfielder told Milan Channel.
“He has joined from Juve, a club who play in a very specific way. The style of play has changed, as well as his teammates.
“But he is living through this moment with calm and he is giving everything.
“Now he just needs to unblock himself and he will then return to being the decisive striker which he was at Juventus.
“It was no fluke that he was Juventus’ best scorer for the last two seasons…”
The forward has yet to score in nine appearances for the Diavolo.
He is expected to start on the bench in the Champions League clash against Barcelona on Tuesday night.
