Bad news for Atalanta, as Giacomo Bonaventura and Stefano Lucchini will be out for at least three weeks.
The creative midfielder limped off during Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Lazio, having picked up the injury while performing a backheel flick.
Today tests showed a first degree tear in the left thigh, which is expected to keep him out of action for at least 20 days.
Defender Lucchini also went off during the same match and has been diagnosed with a similar injury to the right thigh.
