Andrea Mandorlini has tried to dampen Verona fans’ expectations ahead of their clash with Inter on Saturday.
The promoted side have got off to an unbelievable start in Serie A, currently sitting in fourth place with 16 points – one more than the Nerazzurri.
“We are not better than Inter,” he told a Press conference. “If we were to think any differently, defeat would be assured.
“Inter have some quality players and I think they deserve to have a few points than they currently have.
“I don’t think their position in the table is entirely right. I don’t know if they can aspire to the title this season, but they can get into Europe.
“I want my boys to be compact and humble, ready to take on a great team.
“Our fans can dream whatever thoughts they want. But we can’t think we’re already safe.”
