“I can tell you Basta is available, while Andrea Lazzarri has not recovered in time,” explained Guidolin in his Press conference.
“It was important for us to get a win against Sassuolo on Wednesday, but that’s in the past now and we have to focus only on Inter.
“I have a lot of respect for Mazzarri, as his teams are tough, attacking and play with a very precise structure.
“I consider Inter to be a side with important elements all through the squad and Mazzarri knows how to get his teams working hard.”
This was meant to be Samir Handanovic’s return to the Stadio Friuli, but the goalkeeper is a major injury doubt after he picked up a knock to the hip in the 1-1 draw with Atalanta.
“Handanovic is one of the five best goalkeepers in Europe. It would be a shame if he missed out on this match, but I’m sure Inter have the ideal replacements,” continued Guidolin.
“This will be a tough match because Inter have quality, so we must counter it with sacrifice, strength, determination and our own qualities.
“It is the third game in a week, so I’ll have to consider different factors when choosing my starting XI.”
Udinese squad for Inter: Benussi, Brkic, Kelava; Bubnjic, Danilo, Domizzi, Gabriel Silva, Heurtaux, Naldo, Widmer; Allan, Badu, Bruno Fernandes, Jadson, Lazzari, Merkel, Mlinar, Pereyra, Zielinski; Di Natale, Muriel, Nico Lopez, Ranegie
