Miralem Pjanic sees no reason why his Roma side should start sliding down the Serie A standings.
The Giallorossi have had a remarkable 2013-14 so far after they set a new League record by winning their first 10 games of the campaign.
“Our start to the championship was a dream,” he stated to Sky Sport Italia. “We did well to win all of those games and to have drawn the last one.
“Collecting 31 points from the 33 available is a great beginning.
“However, those sides who are behind us, Napoli and Juventus, are having a very, very good season.
“Saying that, I don’t see why we shouldn’t carry this sort of form onwards. We have Sassuolo next and then there is the international break – we want to stay where we are.
“We will fight for a top three spot until the very end of the season.”
Roma are three points clear of Juventus and Napoli, two clubs who will actually face each other in Week 12.
The former Lyon man has scored three goals in 11 Serie A games so far this term.
