Juraj Kucka has praised Genoa Coach Gian Piero Gasperini after moving him into a more offensive role.
The 26-year-old has been moved into a forward position in recent weeks under the new Grifone boss.
And the Slovakia international has conceded that it has taken him some time to adapt to his new role.
“The Coach has changed my way of thinking on the field, “he told Pianeta Genoa. “It has taken me some time to finally adjust to the mechanisms of playing in an attacking position.
“I have to try and help the team in both areas of the field, whilst also trying to make the most of my characteristics.
“It’s the first time I’ve played in an advanced role. Before I was always on the halfway line, but I have to thank the Coach for giving me this opportunity.”
