Giuseppe Rossi is Capocannoniere and Fiorentina have qualified for the Europa League knockouts, but he insists “the best is yet to come.”
The striker was out of action for two years with a series of knee injuries and is back in business with nine Serie A goals this season.
“What really counts is the team results. I am not interested in my personal statistics,” assured Rossi as he attended a basketball match on Friday.
“We are going through a good period of form and thanks to another victory we’ve qualified for the next round of the Europa League. This is absolutely positive.
“We are just at the beginning of a growth process that will take us far. The best is yet to come.”
