Domenico Criscito was content with his first Italy cap since October 2012 and explained Germany’s tactical trap.
“I think the draw was the right result,” the Zenit St Petersburg defender said of their 1-1 friendly result at San Siro.
“Playing with the Nazionale is always wonderful, as it’s everyone’s dream. I am back a year after a nasty injury and I am happy.
“The problem was Germany had no real centre-forwards, so they moved around a lot and swapped places with the midfielders. We figured out their system and in the second half did much better.
“Now it’s up to me to prove myself, first with Zenit and then Italy, but I am happy to be back and of course want to go to Brazil.”
