Andrea Barzagli will not go to London for Italy’s friendly against Nigeria after limping off with Germany.
The Juventus defender pulled up with a muscular problem during last night’s 1-1 draw at San Siro.
He has been diagnosed with a slight pull of the left adductor, so is sent home ahead of Monday’s test at Craven Cottage.
Medics are confident Barzagli will be fit for next Saturday’s Serie A match against Livorno.
Sami Khedira came off considerably worse, as he tore a knee ligament during last night's match and will be out for six months .
