Fiorentina goalkeeper Norberto Neto insists the criticism has been “motivation to improve.”
The Brazilian shot-stopper has often been blasted in the media and by fans for his performances, but has started to win some over.
“It was motivation to improve and grow, so I am just happy to realise my dream of playing football,” Neto told TGR Toscana.
“Vincenzo Montella is a great Coach who is creating a very strong squad. I always wanted to play in Florence and I want to have a great career with this jersey.”
Nonetheless, the Viola have been linked with other goalkeepers over the last few days including Barcelona’s Victor Valdes and QPR man Julio Cesar.
