Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero says he still hopes to play for a long time to come.
The 36-year-old is in the process of negotiating a contract extension with the Old Lady.
"I hope to play for a long time and to be able to give the maximum under all aspects, then I will know when the moment to stop arrives," Del Piero said.
"I am looking at the present and the next season. I am looking at today and next year then we'll think about it.
"I have never thought about a career as a director nor one as a Coach.
"Right now I am dedicated to the profession of being a player, which is what I was born to do.
"Today I am only thinking about playing then tomorrow who knows."
