Marcos Senna doesn’t expect to see Bruno Soriano leave current club Villarreal for Napoli at the start of 2014.
The Italian outfit are being linked with a move for the 29-year-old, but Soriano’s former midfield teammate insists no January transfer will take place.
“Interest from other clubs is logical, but I do not think that Villarreal are considering selling Bruno, knowing them as I do,” Senna, now with New York Cosmos, stated.
“Bruno knows what he has here, it is hard to see him at another team and no-one needs to tell anyone what is best for him.
“He is a key player, he is the centre of the team and his influence is very important.”
