Milan CEO Adriano Galliani confirmed Keisuke Honda in January, turned down Francesco Lodi and “won’t rule out surprises.”
The transfer guru spoke to Milan Channel today and revealed President Silvio Berlusconi will be at the Milanello training ground to fire up the squad ahead of the Champions League decider against Ajax.
“The transfer market is a fluid and dynamic thing, so you can rarely predict what is going to happen.
“As of today, I can say there is one certain arrival and one probable, though out of respect for the Russian club where he’s now playing I cannot say more.”
The Russian club in question is CSKA Moscow, as Japan international midfielder Keisuke Honda’s contract expires at the end of this month and he has long agreed terms with the Rossoneri.
“There could also be some exchanges and I can’t rule out surprises that even I do not know about right now.”
There has been talk of a swap with Genoa between striker M’Baye Niang and midfielder Lodi, or even Juraj Kucka.
“We have to talk to Niang’s agent, but he is very young and could still play with the Primavera youth team,” continued Galliani.
“As for Lodi, he is a midfielder who plays in front of the defence and we already have Nigel De Jong and Riccardo Montolivo there.
“In Serie A we need a series of victories to climb back up the table. If we hadn’t had so many injuries, Milan would be in a much stronger position now.”
